Re: Checking in...

Congrats Sir. The new system sounds harder than the way I earned mine. The only pre-req in the new system is to qualify. Land nav and PT Test are day one and then 3 days of task testing with a decision task in each lane (urban, patrol, TCP). You can No-Go two tasks in each lane but must get a Go on...

Checking in...

It's been a while since I've been around and made a post. Just thought I'd check in and say hello to my fellow Rangers and I hope all is well. I also wanted to post a couple pics from yesterday morning when I earned my Expert Infantryman's Badge. cpts.jpg pinned.jpg It was the new EIB, EIB XXI, very...

Re: Army Mulls Women in Combat Arms Units

This isn't a "we don't want girls in our club" thing like I imagine a lot of ignorant Americans would like to believe. I personally believe that the majority of women, specifically in the Army, would not be able to handle the rigors of working in a branch like the infantry. Just like there...

Re: Re-Introduction

Welcome Sir, You don't by chance have an ornery Irish lad in your company that got back from RS in 2010, do you? Should be an E5 by now. He was my Ranger buddy for a while. No I sure don't, sorry. Yeah, but the premier First Sergeant is running E Company. Oh, and welcome back... I knew him by name ...

This got about 20 seconds worth of coverage on national cable news today while the "Ten Best Dressed Stars of 2008" got a 4 or 5 minute feature. The attitude and priorities of society in this country makes me fucking sick to my stomach sometimes.

Who was your soldier that was KIA?
PV2 Michael Dinterman B CO, 1-26 IN from Littlestown, PA. A superb soldier, I wish I had a platoon full of guys like him.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts.

Nope. When I did the DODMERB thing the only reason they wanted to see anyones records was if there was something in question. You fill out a medical history questionaire. At least that's the way I did it.
