Re: Introduction - Stephen
is your one true hook up recruiter still there, at that office? if you wait for someone to hand you something... it may never come. Ranger KW Driver, I don't know exactly what you mean by my "one true" recruiter. I think that the recruiter I mentioned above will be doing most of the work with me, a...

I was 6',195, maybe 18% BMI in BN. I've never been a strong runner. I could hump a ruck all day and night though. things are different now than then. they've gotten much smarter about functional strength, vs speed demons. work everything, work weaknesses as you identify them. stamina events/training...

don't run in boots. your knees and back with thank you in a few (maybe one) decade. just don't. once you're in, you'll learn when and how to shuffle. break in your boots before you start carrying any weight. ramp up distance and weight gradually. you don't ever need to train past 10 miles/35-45 poun...

Re: Option 40 13F...is this the way for me?
Welcome to the site. Being an FO in Ranger Regiment in my opinion would be pretty cool. They regularly go TDY(travel) to places across the country to practice dropping bombs from aircraft, calling in artillery, etc. They’re also usually the first ones to arrive when there is a casualty so they can ...

I got to make a stop in and pin blood wings on a kid I watched growing up. that was a good time. a tab would be well worth the trip.

FOIA his records, VA/DoD/Army should have a good POC to start. go to the Ft Benning webpage, ARTB (Airborne Ranger Training Brigade) tab, Ranger School, class pictures. you're not likely to be able to ID his class # through the page, but they have most every available class photo hung and accessible...

Re: Introduction - Back Again
This place is a lot quieter these days. The closest comparison I can think of is Os transitioning to Warrant Aviation. I can’t think of any O to Es since before Vietnam.
Good luck with it though, if that’s what you want.
