Great book Kevin! Got it at Borders about a month ago (Feb.) & read the whole thing in 2 sittings. (I'm a Security Officer who only works weekends so it filled in the time between patrols very nicely!) I can heartily endorse this one. Glenn Hey! Glad to hear it. I think you are the first milita...

How do we know that you are really Michael Hawke? This is an awesome question. I guess you don't. You could go to these websites: http://www.kevinstjarre.com or http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/members/kstjarre but maybe I just created those? Tell you what . . . ask me questions about Bo...

Rangers are remembered

The book is available at Borders and other bookstores and I appreciate anything you can do to get the word out. I tried very hard to honor the "customers." In the first book, the only customers are Delta and Rangers. Of course, the series is primarily about the 160th SOAR, but in my opinio...

Welcome, and thanks for your service. I've just got a question regarding your books... I wasn't aware there was a 6th bat in the 160th. And is that a picture of a CH-53 on the cover?? Are these just fictious stories based on the 160th? Hi, I'm going to guess by the word "just" that ...

Hey, a pen name is useful for a series like "Night Stalkers" because if I don't want to write them after book 6 let's say, the publisher can hire someone else to write under that name. Many series have multiple authors. It's funny sometimes readers will say, "John Smith is the best au...

Did you/are you in the 160th SOAR? If so, it would be awesome if you would read the books and give me feedback.

I was a Czech linguist. Got to Europe in early 1988. Czechs were still the bad guys. The wall came down, the Velvet Revolution happened in Prague, and we were fresh out of bad guys until Saddam invaded Kuwait. Then the whole lot of us Czech and Russian linguists went to the Gulf. ha ha. I was not st...

I didn't know any Night Stalkers before writing the book. They can be tough to find. ha ha. I've talk to some since starting to write the books. It's actually a 3-book series. Book 1 comes out in Jan 2005.

I never earned the Ranger tab. I am a veteran of Desert Shield and Storm, but sad to admit, I am just a leg. I served in 1st Armored, and was in the Gulf from December 90 to May 91. My intel team was attached to the lead battalion of the lead brigade of 1st AD throughout the ground war. I was a comb...

160th SOAR

I've written a novel about the 160th SOAR. The title is Night Stalkers. I wrote it under a pen name, Michael Hawke. It is available now for pre-order from Amazon.com. I'd love to have to opinions and feedback of Rangers and others who have worked with the 160th SOAR. You can see the book's cover by ...
