Just another quick update:
Graduated college today; with distinction. PT is going well... my push-ups are improving (thank you Ranger Dafid Ranger!) and I'm maintaining the other scores. Little over 15 days to go till I leave.

Ranger Rangerguru, My PT scores are in line with those recently stated in the latter part of my introduction thread. (I can max the run+, I can max the sit-ups+, I'm struggling with my push-ups and I am following Ranger Dafid Ranger's advice to improve them - which is already showing progress) Today...

Promotion to e-4 pre-ship
When I was at MEPS the counselor told me that after I get my college degree I have to bring a letter from my university specifying so to my recruiter's office and the promotion will be done there. Today I spoke with my recruiter after a PT test and he told me that this promotion would have to be don...

Ranger Bravo57, I'm a Sox fan. I've been to the Wrigleyville area three times in my life; that was punishment enough. The again, maybe it's just the college atmosphere that I have to indulge in on a daily basis. On that note, at least I've figured out how you get a PhD and tenure in any field; speci...

Ranger Dafid Ranger, I will try what you've suggested. Currently I'm doing 1 day on 1 day off. I've always been told that if you do not allow your muscles to recover you will never see any positive growth. I will report on progress in 2 weeks. I've already started today... every hour I drop and do 2...

2 Mile Run - 15:38 Pretty slow still, I need alot of practice with running still, it's never been my strong point. I understand why many of you are pissed, and I apologize. I know nobody cares if I do, or don't update today now, and that you all are here to help US. Though my run time is above. Che...

Re: SFC Hit_It?
Hello Rangers, Veterans, active duty military, and SFC Hit_It. My recruiter has counseled me to lie when it is time to visit meps. Which to me isn't that bad of an idea, because my desire to serve (especialy in the 75th Regiment) outweigh being completly transparent with the doctors at meps. I know...

Where should I be?
So, I've quit my job to dedicate more time to PT. I've got a little under two months before shipping. Theoretically where do I want my numbers given the current ones: (5 days ago) 2 mile run: 13:50 5 mile run: 38:30 2 min Push ups: 56 2 min sit-ups: 90 The two mile run I can do in around 12 minutes....

While performing push-ups the dip must be below horizontal or can it be simply horizontal? Secondly, Ranger Silverback, what are the most common downfalls when doing sit-ups. I can do around 90-100 in two minues and I want to make sure I'm using the proper form. I've got my hands behind my head but ...

Ranger Jim, Throughout our nation’s history and that of other nations we can see that there are two types of men. Those that want to sit and hope everything turns out their way and those that want to do something about it. Rangers are innovators, responsible for the first American military manual....

Ranger, rangerrg_c75 I take pride in anything I do, however minuscule the task is to my daily life. The problem is that I don't value these things; things which other people see valuable I have no value for at all. For example I'm on track to finish my college degree in a little over 2 years; I take...
