CLRP and MGIB

I have read that I can use CLRP and MGIB. Both my Recruiter and MEPS has told me no, i only pick one. I read that i could use both in these articles: http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/joiningup/a/clrp.htm (page 2), and http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/education/a/admgib.htm (page 2) This article may be f...

As I said above, I believed I was just going to MEPS to get my Physical/Medical done. My recruiter mentioned something about swearing in right before we left. Apparently I was supposed to get everything done and be ready to ship out. I told the recruiter I am not going to MEPS unless I have my OPT40...

Ranger Invictus,
I do not believe my Recruiter would lie to me, but he is new to his position.

Ranger 42L5V,
I was attending MSU, and I did take a ROTC class, but that was a year ago. I have stopped going to school as I am out of money and I do not know what degree I want.

68W/OPT40 Availability

Tonight I am going to MEPS for my Physical. I want a 68W/OPT40 and I need to ship out before 06/30. My Recruiter has told me that there are none available before that date. I would like a second opinion from the members of this site. Does anyone have suggestions on getting a 68W/OPT40 if it does not...

Ranger Disinfertention, I will attempt this challenge tomorrow. 1000 pushups in 4 hours = 1 pu/14secs That seems relatively easy. Is it the leaning rest position that tires you out the most? Would it be better to keep a steady pace, or should I push hard then rest long? Will post my results tomorrow...

Ranger Jim, I want to defend my way of life. I would like to do that as a Ranger. But I believe am not yet elite material. I believe I have already failed once by not keeping myself strong and ready to defend. I am grateful for the resources here, that I may improve myself. I will strengthen myself ...

Ranger Cams, My waiting to enlist is part because I believe am not ready for the challenge. I believe it would be somewhat disrespectful to take an Option 40 spot when I have little chance of completing it. Respectfully, when I enlist I swear an Oath to defend the Constitution and follow my chain of...

Ranger Cliv03,
Hopefully no need for cops. If I swing at her she better fight back and hold her own, I do not want to be with someone who can not take care of themselves.

Doc H, Thank you for the fitness pointers. Pavel makes more sense than Combat Conditioning and I plan to cut out most if not all of my train to failure exercises. When I looked at other workout plans, even those on this site, several say train to failure. I am curious if it is ever good to train to ...

Ranger Jim, My Signature Line has been corrected. I will pay better attention to showing proper respect in the future. I am developing a more efficient PT program then I currently follow. I am using information from Stew Smith’s books, Matt Furey’s Combat Conditioning, and various online resourc...

Hello, My name is Chris. I am a senior in college. I had intended to enter the Army through ROTC but I believe enlisting and serving as a Ranger will give me better opportunity to improve myself to my fullest potential. I am considering enlisting in two years with an Option 40. I am not sure what MO...
