Re: women rangers
Since I am admittedly not a Ranger, I've kept quiet on the topic in the forums to this point, but this thought keeps occurring to me: out of approximately 70,000 females in the Regular Army, Uncle Sam managed to find all of 2 females that could make it through the entire process, and both went throu...

How many were wearing combat arms division/brigade patches on the left? Lots of Combat Support and Combat Service Support personnel on JBLM and lots of NG and Reserve troops floating around, too.rangertough wrote:On JBLM right now. How are there SSG's in the Army without right sleeve patches?

(nothing of importance) It's been awhile since I've logged in, but I just noticed this asshat somehow had time to sent me a PM (in connection with my previous post) before getting banned. Looks like I missed all the fun, and wouldn't even have had time to microwave popcorn, even if I had been onlin...

If the former owner was like a lot of soldiers (not just Rangers), he probably got sick-and-tired of cleaning his heavily dirt and grime covered Army-issued ruck sack for inspections, and purchased himself an extra one to leave in his wall locker. He probably swapped the two (once again, so he didn'...

Re: Any tips?
Be pro-active. Plan out a route for a platoon- or company-level ruck march. Start asking your leadership when the next ruckmarch is. If you get blank stares, tell them about your route, and ask what other preparations you can assist with to make it happen. Pretty much every First Sergeant I've met e...

Re: US Army testing new jungle boots
I bought myself a pair of the Black jungle boots when I was in, I pretty much wore them all the time, except when ordered to wear "all-leather boots" for some ceremony or another (or during my Afghanistan tour, but the desert boots at that point where basically just jungle boots, except in...

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't risk my man parts to a woman that crazy! I wouldn't want her to confuse my nuggets with McNuggets while she's down there!Steadfast wrote:Don't ask this one for a bj even if you have McNuggets for her - I'm just saying.

Would be interested to see this elaborated on. Do civilians jump with reserves? I didn't even know people static line jumped for fun... During my AIT (at Ft. Huachuca, AZ), a few members of my platoon decided to go static-lining one weekend. While I didn't go myself, it was a a bit of a memorable w...

Re: Wing Tsung (Chun)
Wing Chun (with a good instructor), is probably one of the better "hard", striking arts for women. The legend of it's founding was that it originally developed for a particular woman who had to defend her village. While I haven't practiced it myself, from what I've seen of it, there's more...

Not neccessarily free, but you can download and order products direct from USGS. http://nationalmap.gov/ustopo/ Depending what you want, it might be cheaper to download GeoPDF files from them, then take the files to a local print shop and pay for high quality prints (and lamination, if that's your t...

Ranger missing his Rider's Jacket
Saw this as a recent post when browsing Facebook tonight. https://www.facebook.com/2MillionBikers ... 5741996942
Anybody know the Ranger that this rider's jacket belongs to? Let him know where to reclaim it …and send him some 550 cord.

Here is some more bad-assity. The very first medic to be awarded the MOH. Until him medics were only given DSC. His game was so epic they had no choice but to give it to him. Oh yeah.... Bad ass motherfucker was conscientious objector too. Only thing he carried with him into combat was his aidbag, ...

My first image was from Seoul. I could have sworn it was looking across the street from the War Memorial Museum by Yongsan, but no, the image was from about 4.09 klicks (6147 points) north across the street from city hall. Got within 88m on #4 (roadsigns in the image helped, despite it being some pl...

Re: Get the lead out
What about silver smelters? Silver mining usually produces more lead ore as byproduct than it does silver. Both ores get processed at (at least some of) the same plants. Lead, nickel, etc. to pay the bills, silver to make a profit.

Re: Pre-RASP psychological tests
Lying about past drug use makes you a blackmail risk. Telling the Army that you've used drugs eliminates that risk (so long as you are leave the drug use in the past forever). At worst, being honest about it will make your security investigation take a little bit longer.
