Just my two cents worth, but I have seen better performance and durability from the Oakley Boot. My ERT team has no SOP on footwear, operator pref., and both the Adidas and Oakley Boot have been used, with the Oakley being more durable with little or no break in time needed. Mostly work in the city ...

Having grown up in Florida on the coast just short of Daytona Beach, I have to agree with Ranger Doc Cook's packing list. Recently (Charley) brought alot of havoc to my families house on the river, but their house was extremely new and did well. In the building of the house, they installed a generat...

everyone is pretty much talking about the same stuff, just has different names dependant on the industry and need. As a soccer player for 16 years I used the colored stuff, and then as a INF Doc for 8 years, got to use multiple types on the guys. Everyone who has posted has been pretty correct, depe...

Help concerning disclosure

Docs, A LEO friend of mine is seeking to enlist 18x but as I have earlier posted in this forum, he has a Gout condition which is under control w/ medication. Gout is a disqualifier for enlistment under AR Med Regs. If he did not disclose his Gout, and had another occurence of it down the road, would...

AP, If I was you, I would log a complaint with the officer / detetcive who blew you off. Unsure about Texas, but in GA it's a felony. This case is a no brainer and the lazy ass officer could at least pull some video tape to possibly ID a POS that used your card. Lastly, don't try to exact revenge, i...

Dando175 I have never heard of a PA or MD accompanying a ERT or SERT Team in the State of GA, but that doesn't mean it isn'y happening, especially in the larger cities like Atlanta and Savannah. Being a ERT doc myself with my agency near Savannah and having some good contacts there, I'll contact Sav...

Gout?

Doc, Is Gout a disqualifier for entrance into military service, even though the person takes medication daily for it, and is under control. If entrance is allowed, would all options be open to him (i.e. Airborne, RIP, Battalion, or SF). Any help or further contact for this information would be helpf...

Tac-Med Courses

Is anyone aware of any current course offerings of any Tactical Medical classes orientated towards SWAT or ERT medics. I have searched but the results are few and far between? More specifically, classes towards the Southeast U.S. since I am in Georgia. I am currrently in need of refresher training f...

Introduction

After a short time of seeing your site, I felt I needed to make an introduction to all present. Served from 1992-1999 as an infantry line doc (E-5), and my last unit was 3-15 INF at Ft. Stewart and ETS'd in 1999 to the GA NG for a year to complete my 8 year service contract. Due to lack of homework ...
