Re: Intro
Welcome, and I personally still think of a Red Devil as being from the 1-50th ABCT in Italy, prior to the reflag as the 173rd Herd.

Re: Pathfinder
Torch check huh? I was in Torch school at Benning when the Twin Towers were hit, down on the airfield doing sling-load hands on. As a side note, can you call yourself a Pathfinder if you were in a Pathfinder company but no Torch? (Kinda like the whole Tabless Regiment guys that go elsewhere)

Re: 108th RSTA GA NG
Unless your unit is completely fucked, a medic will be patrolling with you, or at a minimum there will be one in the QRF package waiting to bail out a Dirt team in contact. The only unit I've ever seen roll without a medic was a MP unit, and they paid the price once or twice for it too.

Re: Auto GPS
I'm running a Garmin Nuvi 200, and it seems to change when it tells you about turns based off of your speed. It's kind of caveman simple, not really too many words to look at either, since it has a map with arrows and a touch screen for programming.

I have to agree with Zonk on this- My Jeep has a 4.0 engine and 4.10's in the axles and I don't have any issues. Then again, I also have a 6 speed tranny that helps out too. IMO, the bottom line is if you plan on towing alot, get the 4.10's, if it's only on occasion, get the 3.73's. Either way, that...

Lineage question
So after reading a book on LRRP/ LRP/Rangers during Vietnam, I began to wonder- all Ranger units trace their lineage back through the same Ranger units throughout history. This includes the LRS-D and LRS-C that might still be around. But for some units like the 101st LRS that were transfered to bein...

PEQ-15
Any one have any experience with the new PEQ-15 Aiming laser? It's sort of like a PEQ-2 but smaller, lighter, and has a visisble laser setting. I'll see if I can get a picture of it when I get back to work.
