Torch check huh? I was in Torch school at Benning when the Twin Towers were hit, down on the airfield doing sling-load hands on. As a side note, can you call yourself a Pathfinder if you were in a Pathfinder company but no Torch? (Kinda like the whole Tabless Regiment guys that go elsewhere)

Unless your unit is completely fucked, a medic will be patrolling with you, or at a minimum there will be one in the QRF package waiting to bail out a Dirt team in contact. The only unit I've ever seen roll without a medic was a MP unit, and they paid the price once or twice for it too.

I'm running a Garmin Nuvi 200, and it seems to change when it tells you about turns based off of your speed. It's kind of caveman simple, not really too many words to look at either, since it has a map with arrows and a touch screen for programming.

I have to agree with Zonk on this- My Jeep has a 4.0 engine and 4.10's in the axles and I don't have any issues. Then again, I also have a 6 speed tranny that helps out too. I think the 15 KIA in the helicopter were the QRF from the Operation Redwing Seals that were hunted and fucked up a few years ago. I guess that outpost was in the same area or vicinity.

Dude seriously- after all the advice you've been given you have 2 choices either call or don't. At this point those units might not need you if you are afraid to dial a damn number and ask some questions of people in the unit.

The item I'm refering to is called a PEQ-15 or an AIM-15, or at least that is what was told to us anyway. I'm still working on a pic, but with a jrtc coming up, I haven't been able to get intp the arms room.

Any one have any experience with the new PEQ-15 Aiming laser? It's sort of like a PEQ-2 but smaller, lighter, and has a visisble laser setting. I'll see if I can get a picture of it when I get back to work.
